So I had a newborn shoot a few years ago, but because that was Pre-MG, I was absolutely terrified! Fast forward a few years. MG is 18 months and I've figured out that babies aren't as fragile as people without children think they are.
Brittany and I went to high school together not so many years ago at good ole Lawrence Academy. When I found out she was pregnant and living not very far away from my new home, I knew I had to try newborn pictures again.
Handsome little Jaxson was just 7 days old for his first photo shoot.
This adorable hat and diaper cover were made for me by Trixie's Treasures of Asheboro.
I found the material for this cute little wrap at Flip Flops in Asheboro. It's red, by the way. I love the black and white for this image to show off his darling little feet!
I can't remember if he was yawning or screaming in these pictures, but they are adorable just the same!
After a while Mr. Jaxson finally went to sleep. Doesn't he look peaceful here?
Happy Family!
Congratulations, Brittany and Family! And thanks! I had a blast!!
Back in April, I had a privilege of photographing my brother's college roommate's wedding in Vanceboro, NC. (Did you get all that?)
Dontcha just love the bride's boots? And that's a custom embroidered western shirt, too!
These clowns kept everyone laughing! It was great watching these old friends have fun together.
While the guys were goofing off, the girls were doing their share of laughing and putting the final touches on the beautiful bride.
The colored sand in the jar represents the joining of Ben and Natalie's lives and their commitment to Christ and to each other.
The bride and groom were able to catch a quick, private moment (well, except for me, cause you know I had to be there!) in between the ceremony and formal pictures.
The reception was held in The Flame Banquet Hall in New Bern.
Once they entered the reception hall, Ben and Natalie danced their first dance as husband and wife to "Cowboys and Angels" made popular by Dustin Lynch.
Sweet daddy-daughter and mother-son dances followed.
The funniest thing I have ever seen at a wedding reception was the Dance Off emceed by Frankie of Black Tie Affair Entertainment. The bride and groom had picked out a list of wedding guests to participate, and Frankie called them up to the middle of the dance floor where they had to dance to popular songs. It all ended with the "YMCA" and everyone wearing funny hats! It's a wonder any of these photos are in focus - I was laughing so hard!
The kids had a great time dancing, too! Aren't they the cutest??
According to Morris Family Tradition, all Morris newlyweds (Natalie) gets surprised with a live animal in their getaway vehicles. This lucky porker was Ben and Natalie's prize! Don't worry, no animals were harmed in the making of this wedding!
Congratulations, y'all!! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your day. I hope you are always as happy and in love as you were on your wedding day!
Leave some love for Natalie and Ben in the comments below!
So my photo hosting site has a blog feature that I am finally trying out. Something new to play with, fun times!
A couple of weeks ago, I got the font for making round monograms! This is my computer desktop background now:
